A Pink Party!

The lovely American ladies in the expat club near me kindly hosted a "pink party" for everyone to meet Miss Crosby last week. It was so very nice! Crosby was dressed in her pretty party dress and bib and was a model baby for the afternoon. Crosby was passed around from one lady to another and didn't utter a peep!

With Mom at the party...
All the pink treats in the kitchen at the party...strawberry pink cupcakes, pink sugar cookies, truffles with pink icing, pink baby feet cookies, and even pink-ish punch. What a lovely party!

Never Attention Starved...

Crosby has yet to be attention starved....
Scott's parents arrived last weekend to come meet their first granddaughter here in England. Needless to say they are more than smitten with Crosby and Crosby is enjoying all of the attention!

Grandma & Grandpa planted some flowers in our yard for us. We are calling it "Crosby's little garden." Grandma Cris & Crosby checked it out this afternoon while the sun was shining and the weather was lovely.

One Month Old

Crosby is one month old! It seems like time has already flown by but at the same time it is hard to remember a time before we had a little daughter too....funny how that seems to happen with big life events, isn't it?

Pa Arrives

Grandpa - aka "Pa" arrived this weekend in England to spend a long weekend meeting and snuggling with little Crosby. As soon as he arrived, he was already converting his first grandchild into a St. Louis Cardinal's fan! Dad is going to have a tough fight to turn this little girl into a Cubbies fan with the St. Louis lineage in her blood....

First Few Weeks

We are settling in to the first few weeks of parenthood with our new daughter, Crosby. Gra-Melody is still with us and we are so happy she is still here because we are not sure what we would do without the extra set of hands at the moment! It's amazing how such a tiny being takes up so much of our time and energy....leaving us with little left for daily tasks, household chores, and simple things such as getting out of the house! (Scott being the exception since he is back at work full time after his paternity leave and seems to be back to his daily work routine, he has just added a "late night" shift for diaper duty....)
Gram reading the baby shape books to Crosby. Crosby is starting to follow movements, voices, and people with her eyes already so these black and white books are great.
After a failed attempt to drive into town one afternoon (the car seat was too complicated to figure out!), we decided to take little C for a walk around the neighborhood. Gram pushed the stroller (or pram as they say here) and we all enjoyed a bit of fresh air.
Someday I will be pushing this pram around the block too!
For Crosby's 3 week check up, our midwife Diane weighed little C at the house- she is healthily growing and weighs in at 10 lbs 7 ounces! She is healthy and thriving and we are so very thankful!
